This small front garden in Ealing was smartened up with a knot garden, using
two varieties of box: the dark green leaved Buxus sempervirens and Buxus
sempervirens 'elegantissima' which has green leaves with a white margin.
Scottish pebbles infill between the box,and a membrane was laid beneath
to suppress weeds. As the plants joined together they were clipped
to give the impression that they are weaving over and under each other - taking inspiration from
a knot garden created by Rosemary Verey at Barnsley House.
